Calling It Quits

I’ve quit my job yesterday – without a plan.

It was a very stressful thing to do, but I did it. At the end of my 8 hours shift, I took the phone, and told my boss I was leaving.

I explained my reasons for doing so: I’m ready for a change; I need some free time to reflect; I would like to go back to my field of study…

I gave her 3 weeks notice – because I’m an exceptional employee hehe

She took it quite well, and thanked me for the notice. The conversation was very friendly.

At the end of the call, I could breathe again – I was free.

I read that quote somewhere today: “Hint: the cage is not locked.”

It never was 🙂

  2. I don’t blame you, Lorraine. I quit my job almost a year ago because I wanted more freedom and to pursue blogging and writing at home full time. I haven’t regretted the decision yet! Here’s wishing you much success in life! God bless you!
